Reigns vs. Mysterio Hell in a Cell match moved to WWE SmackDown

Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio’s Hell in a Cell match looks like it will be taking place a little earlier than expected.

WWE announced tonight that Reigns will now defend his Universal Championship against Mysterio in a Hell in a Cell match on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown. The match had originally been set for this Sunday’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

The announcement of the match being moved up was made after Mysterio tweeted that he can’t wait any longer to face Reigns. Mysterio wrote: “It’s eating me up inside. I can’t wait any longer. I want the Hell In A Cell match tomorrow night. @WWERomanReigns @HeymanHustle”

Reigns then responded to Mysterio: “Sunday. Friday. Any day. Makes no difference to me. It’ll be my pleasure to disgrace what’s left of your family name tomorrow night inside Hell in a Cell! My Special Counsel @HeymanHustle will handle the paperwork. I’ll PERSONALLY handle the warfare! @WWE #Smackdown”

On SmackDown two weeks ago, Reigns attacked Rey and his son Dominik and caused their SmackDown Tag Team title defense against The Usos to end in a disqualification. Reigns beat down Rey and Dominik after the match.

Rey issued the Hell in a Cell challenge to Reigns on SmackDown last Friday. Rey then attacked Reigns with a kendo stick, but Reigns fought him off. Dominik appeared and attacked Reigns with a kendo stick of his own, but Reigns fended off that attack as well. Reigns then powerbombed Dominik from the ring to the outside.

After the powerbomb, Rey hit Reigns with a kendo stick and then went to check on Dominik. Reigns kicked Rey in the head before officials came out and got between Reigns and the Mysterios.
