NXT Champion Karrion Kross sent a message to Samoa Joe by laying out William Regal last night.

After being choked out by Kross last week, Joe opened last night’s NXT by attempting to call out Kross. Regal came down to the ring and told Joe that he can’t be doing this. Joe reminded Regal that their agreement was that Joe could get physically involved if he was provoked. Regal claimed that Joe wasn’t acting as NXT management last week, he was acting as a referee.

Regal told Joe that Kross was on his way to the building and Joe had to solve the problem peacefully. Joe promised Regal that last night would be the end of it — but Joe couldn’t guarantee that it would end peacefully. Joe promised that someone would be going to sleep.

Joe waited for Kross to arrive throughout last night’s show. After Raquel Gonzalez retained her NXT Women’s Championship against Xia Li in the main event, Joe came back out to the ring and called Kross out.

But Kross instead appeared on the video screen. He warned Joe that this is his world now. Kross said the NXT Championship means he can go wherever he wants, he can do whatever he wants, and he can hurt whoever he wants. Kross then revealed that he had laid out Regal.

Kross asked if Joe still feels like he’s in control. Joe went to chase after Kross, but Kross sped away before Joe could get there.

Kross’ Raw debut from the previous night was mentioned during the opening segment of last night’s NXT. Joe said Regal had no control over Kross and asked if Regal knew anything about Kross’ field trip to Raw. Kross lost to Jeff Hardy on Monday.
