Marc Jacobs loves his muses so much that his fall 2016 portfolio is replete with fashion, movie, music, and catwalk stars that represent the autumn collection’s gothic aesthetic. The latest addition—we’ve lost count as to how many beauties there are in the campaign—is 69-year-old Susan Sarandon, who first caught his attention with her role in cult-classic movie The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
“I fell in love with Susan Sarandon’s on-screen portrayal of Janet during her ‘loss of innocence’ scene by way of a cross-dressing alien and her giddy, ecstatic rendition of, ‘touch-a, touch-a, touch me,’” Jacobs wrote on Instagram alongside with her campaign shot, in which she smolders in a striped dress. In the caption, the designer also reveals what it was like to first meet the actress IRL.
“It was in my early days at Perry Ellis when I first had the privilege of meeting Susan. Her intelligence, courage, strength, conviction, and ballsiness has always been so admirable to me,” he said.

“There’s an inherent seductive quality in Susan as a woman who always speaks her mind and an artist who takes risks. Her talent as an actress is one of extraordinary range, talent, and power.”
