The 2018 Formula 1 grid is complete and ready to roll, with the FIA publishing this season’s entry list which includes a few new race numbers and name changes among the 20-strong field.
Legendary marque Aston Martin now enjoys an official presence on the F1 bill after boosting its involvement with Red Bull Racing.
McLaren F1 Team has chosen to underline its exclusive brand by not including engine partner Renault in its name, contrary to previous years when Honda was part of the outfit’s official denomination.
Alfa Romeo is showcased alongside Sauber for its F1 return, while energy drink company Red Bull tags itself on to its second team which is now called Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda, while Sauber
One will also note that Force India remains Sahara Force India F1 Team, despite confirmation that a name change is in the works for the Silverstone-based outfit.
Williams new recruit Sergey Sirotkin has chosen to race with #35 while the other new face on the grid, Sauber’s Charles Leclerc, has opted for #16.
The season kicks off in Melbourne on March 25 for a long-haul 21-race schedule which will end in Abu Dhabi on November 25.
