Meanwhile, Rajasthan Govt Is Threatening To Fine Bars If They Don’t Drastically Increase The Amount Of Booze They Sell

Alcohol consumption is one vice that people tend to not give up easily. Governments come up with disclaimers of liquor bottles but that hardly deters people. In one such bizarre move, Rajasthan government is literally asking bars to sell more liquor else face stiff fines, a report in the Times of India stated.

The state government is doing so because of their improper financial planning that has affected their economy. The government has already raised retail liquor prices, licence fees and VAT this year.

Not that was enough already, it is now forcing bars in hotels, restaurants and beer lounges to increase sales. In the past few days, approximately 300 bars in hotels have received notices to pay a penalty for not selling 10% more liquor, in comparison to last year.
