He is not just the oldest voter in India, Shyam Saran Negi (102-years-old) also happens to be the first voter of Independent India. Negi exercised his voting rights in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh in 1951 and became the first Indian to do so.
Ever since that day, Negi has lived on to vote in all elections. He firmly advocates the principles of democracy and urges everybody to cast their vote.
