A match between two former EVOLVE wrestlers is set for the promotion’s 10th anniversary show.
Matt Riddle vs. Drew Gulak has been announced for EVOLVE 131, which is EVOLVE/Dragon Gate USA’s 10th anniversary event. It’s taking place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13.
The match was set up by a challenge that Gulak issued at last night’s NXT house show in Philadelphia. Gulak got on the microphone and announced his open challenge for the anniversary show, then Riddle appeared on the video screen. Riddle said he’ll be facing Gulak and told him to get ready.
Riddle and Gulak were both members of the Catch Point stable in EVOLVE. Riddle held both the EVOLVE Championship and WWN Championship during his time in the promotion, while Gulak held the EVOLVE Tag Team titles with Tracy Williams.
Riddle departed EVOLVE when he joined NXT in August 2018. Gulak is part of the 205 Live roster and last wrestled for EVOLVE in December 2016.
