After five straight weeks of viewership rebounding, Impact Wrestling ratings were down for Thursday night’s episode.
The show averaged 229,000 viewers on Pop TV, down 11 percent from last week’s 258,000. The rating in the 18-49 demo was a 0.05, down from a 0.07.
This was the first episode of Impact from the promotion’s television tapings in Mexico City. Austin Aries retained his World Championship against El Texano Jr. in the main event.

Impact went up against the NFL regular season for the third straight week. The Cleveland Browns’ win over the New York Jets drew 8.632 million viewers on the NFL Network, which was up from the seven million that last week’s game averaged. Next Thursday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams will also air on Fox.
For a year-over-year comparison, the September 21, 2017 edition of Impact averaged 277,000 viewers.
