Randy Orton returned to in-ring action Monday night at a WWE Smackdown house show in Fairfax, VA, tagging with old rival John Cena.
Orton didn’t take any bumps, but did deliver an RKO to help secure the win for he and Cena over Bray Wyatt and Erick Rowan. Orton was taken off Sunday’s Backlash PPV as he is still not cleared to return, reportedly from a concussion received at the hands and elbows of Brock Lesnar at August’s SummerSlam event.
Orton was written out of the match due to a backstage attack by Wyatt at Backlash, but came back out to hit Wyatt with an RKO during Wyatt’s match with Kane.
As of now, Orton is still slated to face Lesnar at a Chicago house show later this month.
