It's Time, It's Vader vs. Will Ospreay Time: RevPro books match for August

By Joseph Currier for F4WOnline.com

A match that seemed improbable a month ago was announced Sunday morning as Revolution Pro Wrestling has booked Vader vs. Will Ospreay for their Friday, Aug. 12 show at York Hall in London, England.

The match became increasingly inevitable as the two built interest for it with a social media feud, based on one of the most famous matches of 2016: Ospreay vs. Ricochet from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Juniors show on May 27th.

The match became the talk of the wrestling world, and even reached beyond it with the match being talked about on ESPN’s “Highly Questionable” and several other mainstream media outlets. But Vader, now 61 years old, led a vocal minority of former wrestlers in criticizing the match for being “blatant acrobatics” and not telling a story.

Both Vader and Ospreay have persistently continued their feud since, including Ospreay using a Vader bomb in his subsequent NJPW match. The 23-year-old publicly campaigned for the match and the popular RevPro promotion made it a reality for their Uprising 2016 event. They have a history of making fun matches, recently booking Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Kurt Angle.

Below is the official poster for the event.
