A survivor has been found in rubble almost two days after a deadly earthquake struck Albania’s Adriatic coast.
The man is seen trapped amidst the collapsed building in Durres before a rescuer hands him a bottle of water.
The death toll from Tuesday’s 6.4-magnitude earthquake rose to 40 on Thursday morning.
More than 650 people were also injured in the tremor which was followed by hundreds of aftershocks, including several with magnitudes of above 5.
Rescue crews with specialised equipment, sniffer dogs and emergency supplies have flooded into Albania to help in the search efforts.
Authorities said search and rescue operations continued in the port city of Durres, 20 miles (33 kilometres) west of the capital Tirana.
