When The Rock called CM Punk after Raw last night, Punk was reportedly walking his dog and so the call went to voicemail. Punk did acknowledge the call on Twitter, tweeting a thanks to the live audience in Los Angeles. Vince McMahon was obviously not thrilled at any of this and sent a referee to the ring to tell the Rock to stop calling Punk.
According to sources, there is nothing more to really read into this other than the Rock basically does “what he wants, when he wants.” This is not the first time McMahon has been unhappy at what the Rock has done in front of a live audience, but there’s no way he’s going to punish him and simply put – he really can’t.
