Impact ratings down for second week of Kenny Omega angle

This Tuesday night’s Impact Wrestling on AXS TV averaged 177,000 viewers, down 19.9 percent from last week.

After finishing in the top 100 of the 18-49 cable charts last week, the rating in that demo dropped 50 percent to a 0.04. That placed Impact in the 143rd spot on this Tuesday’s chart.

Impact was up 6.6 percent in total viewership from its December 1 episode, which was prior to the angle on AEW Dynamite where Kenny Omega won the AEW World Championship and Don Callis promised that Omega would be appearing on Impact. This week’s Impact was down slightly from the 0.05 rating the show drew in the 18-49 demo on December 1.

Twitch viewership was down significantly from last week but still comfortably above normal levels for Impact. After peaking at over 50,000 viewers on Twitch last week, the peak for this Tuesday’s show was above 14,000 viewers.

This week’s Impact featured another appearance by Omega. The show ended with the announcement that Omega will reunite with Impact Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) to face Impact World Champion Rich Swann & The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) in the main event of Impact’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view on Saturday, January 16.

Impact is airing best of episodes over the next two weeks and returning with new content on Tuesday, January 5.
