Ric Flair Update, Marcus Cor Von Returning To TNA?

Source: Wrestling Observer

Many have been wondering what Ric Flair’s WWE status is. He’s appeared on radio shows denying he had a falling out on WWE. He appeared at a NASCAR event over the weekend and was announced as a “former WWE wrestler & champion”. As of this week, Flair is still collecting checks from his weekly downside guarantee. As we’ve reported before, Flair DID in fact give WWE notice that he wanted to leave. Both sides agreed to keep that confidential and both were not happy when the story leaked out. Flair denied the story on the radio because he wants WWE to “make things right” and badmouthing them would not help his cause. Both sides remain in contact and hopefully we’ll see Flair back in a WWE ring soon.

Marcus Cor Von was released from WWE on September 19th. Reports indicated that Cor Von had to deal with personal issues stemming from the death of one of his family members, possibly a sibling. WWE continued to pay the downside guarantee on his contract despite the fact that he had not been seen in several months. TNA has shown interest in bring back Cor Von, formerly known by his real name, “Monty Brown”. A TNA return seems more likely at this point than a WWE return, as the significantly lighter schedule would allow him to tend to his family situation while still remaining an active wrestler in the national spotlight.
