A Women’s title match is set for SmackDown’s Fastlane go-home show.
WWE has announced that SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks will defend her title against Nia Jax on SmackDown next Friday. Banks & Bianca Belair are challenging for Jax & Shayna Baszler’s WWE Women’s Tag Team titles at Fastlane.
On tonight’s SmackDown, Banks and Belair were Kevin Owens’ guests on the KO Show. Banks said Belair wouldn’t have been able to accomplish what she’s accomplished without Banks paving the way. Belair said she respects what Banks has done, but Banks isn’t responsible for what Belair has accomplished. Banks vowed that she’ll defeat Jax & Baszler at Fastlane and then defeat Belair at WrestleMania 37. Belair won this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match and is challenging for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
The KO Show segment was interrupted by Jax, Baszler, and Reginald coming out to do commentary for Banks & Belair’s match against Natalya & Tamina. Natalya & Tamina got the win when Tamina rolled up Belair after Banks confronted Reginald. Belair, who had warned Banks about being focused on Reginald, blamed Banks for their loss.
Later in the night, Reginald suggested that Jax challenge for Banks’ SmackDown Women’s Championship next week. Reginald said Jax can defeat Banks next week and become a double champion.
