Red Velvet is now an official member of the AEW roster.
Cody Rhodes announced on Twitter today that Red Velvet’s contract has been upgraded to a full-time deal.
Rhodes tweeted: At The Crossroads @AEWonTNT event squaring off against @SHAQ & Jade…Red stepped up in a huge way! @TonyKhan saw what over a million people saw that night and upgraded her contract. She’s ALL ELITE now! Let’s stir it up my friend.”
Red Velvet teamed with Rhodes against Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill on the March 3 Crossroads edition of AEW Dynamite, the most high-profile match of her career to this point.
Since the match against Cargill and Shaq, Red Velvet has scored a singles win and a tag team win on episodes of AEW Dark Elevation.
Red Velvet made her AEW debut on the June 16, 2020 episode of AEW Dark, teaming with Kenzie Page in a losing effort against Brandi Rhodes and Allie.
