WWE Extreme Rules Review: A Night That Wasn’t Very Extreme

WWE Extreme Rules took place Sunday night at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We had a main event that featured two of the best workers in the company feuding for the Intercontinental Championship for over 30 minutes. There was a clash of the titans between two main event heavyweights in Bobby Lashley and Roman Reigns. Plus, we got a few surprises in terms of title changes and jaw-dropping spots throughout the three-hour, forty five-minute show.

Before diving into the main card, I have to say that if you did not catch the rematch between Andrade “Cien” Almas and Sin Cara, go out of your way to watch the pre-show again for this match. Almas and Sin Cara have a very noticeable chemistry in the ring and this match, keeping a few miscues in mind, was very, very good. Very high-impact, a lot of great grappling and lucha libre moves and some great showboating on the part of Almas and Zelina Vega. One of the better pre-show matches the company has put on in recent months.
