class=”article_teaser__2t5do”>Despite an impressive return in their last Premier League game, our tipster is expecting the Gunners to struggle against the Seagulls on Tuesday
Arsenal will be aiming to build on their impressive Premier League win over Chelsea when they travel to Amex Stadium to face Brighton on Tuesday evening.
The Gunners ended a seven-game winless streak with a 3-1 victory over Frank Lampard’s men, marking the first time since October 4 that they have netted more than once in a league game.
Brighton are still looking to arrest their own run of poor form that has seen them fail to win any of their last six, although they have drawn four of those fixtures.
Brighton vs Arsenal Latest Odds
The Seagulls are yet to win at home this season and bet365 make them 23/10 (3.30) outsiders to beat Arsenal for the third time in a row, having done the double over them last term.
In fact, the Gunners have not won against the south coast outfit since the first time they met in the Premier League back in October 2017 but are 6/5 (2.20) favourites to take the points in this one.
No team has drawn more games this season than Brighton and it is 12/5 (3.40) that they play out a stalemate for an eighth time.
Brighton vs Arsenal Team News
Tariq Lamptey, Adam Lallana, Aaron Connolly, Jose Izquierdo and Florin Andone are all out for the hosts.
Gabriel has been ruled out for Arsenal after testing positive for coronavirus, joining David Luiz, Willian and Thomas Partey on the sidelines.
Brighton vs Arsenal Preview
The collective sigh of relief from Arsenal fans could be heard all over the country when the final whistle blew against Chelsea, although the scoreline was perhaps quite generous towards the Gunners.
Two of Arsenal’s goals came from set pieces while Bukayo Saka’s strike was a mis-hit cross that looped over Edouard Mendy, and their total of seven shots on target was well above their average of 3.3 going into the game.
That number diminishes to just 2.85 when just taking away games into account, with the Gunners managing only two shots on target in each of their last four fixtures on the road.
It looks likely that they will struggle to amass too much attacking threat against Brighton, who have faced only 20 shots on target at home this season with no visiting side managing more than three at the Amex since the opening weekend.
Brighton vs Arsenal Tips and Predictions
Given how much Arsenal have struggled in front of goal this season and how strong Brighton’s home defence is, the 5/6 (1.83) quote on the Gunners having under 3.5 shots on target looks a strong selection for this Premier League fixture.
