Exclusive | Brentford to target Alban Lafont if David Raya leaves

According to sources contacted by Get French Football News, Premier League side Brentford would prioritise a move for FC Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont (23) should David Raya (27).

Spanish media AS have linked Raya with a move across London to Tottenham Hotspur with Hugo Lloris’ (36) contract set to expire in 2024. Should Antonio Conte’s side, or any other team, make a move for the Spanish goalkeeper, Brentford would prioritise a move for Nantes’ Lafont, whose contract also expires in 2024.

After Les Canaris’ Coupe de France triumph last season, Lafont was reportedly offered to clubs for €20m by an influential agent close to the club, according to L’Équipe Given that Lafont is one year closer to the end of his contract, the Frenchman could be available for an even cheaper price at the end of the season.

Lafont, who has yet to feature for the France national team, has made 14 appearances for Les Bleus’ U21 side and has this season played 23 games for Nantes, including six in the Europa League.
