Olivia Munn Is Having So Much Fun Hanging Out on a Navy Ship

If you tend to stalk Olivia Munn’s Instagram account, you know that she brings her fun-loving nature to whatever situation she’s in. So when a boat was named after her friend, former Arizona Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Olivia Munn showed up to show her support, as any good pal does!

Olivia was actually on the host committee for the commissioning of the U.S.S. Gabby Giffords.

And as she points out, this is only the second ship ever to be named after a living woman.

But leave it to Olivia to do way more than just pose for a photo with the woman of the hour. She also made her way down to the captain’s chair, and hung out with all the Navy sailors on board.

Olivia also visited with Gabby’s husband, Captain Mark Kelly, a retired Navy captain and NASA astronaut, who seemed so happy to have his wife honored with her own warship.

It turns out that the new warship—the USGG—was put into service yesterday in Gabby’s honor.

Gabby sustained a head injury during a 2011 assassination attempt when she was serving in Congress, and is now partially paralyzed and has a language disorder. She has become a vocal advocate for gun control.

Even Hillary Clinton attended the big event, and made the following statement:

Gabby herself said:

It seems like Olivia had a lot of fun being a part of Gabby’s big day. We’re glad Gabby Giffords’ fortitude was recognized by the U.S. government.
