Why not spread a little love every so often?
That’s the philosophy 39-year-old actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is following as of late. On Saturday, the proud mother of two took to Instagram to announce she’ll officially be participating in the social media platform’s #LoveYourSpouseChallenge—with a little help from husband Freddie Prinze Jr. So what exactly does the hashtag mean?
“So I keep hearing about the #loveyourspousechallenge—spread love (and the joys of marriage) by posting seven days worth of happy pictures. I realize how much sadness and tragedy fills our lives these days, and I love the idea of filling up news feeds and timelines etc with positive stories and messages of love,” she explained alongside a memorable, picture-perfect shot of herself kissing her beau on their big day.
“I have decided to accept the challenge and for the next seven days I will post a pic a day,” she added. Gellar has so far kept her promise and on Sunday shared a second image.
In the shot, a newly married Gellar and Prinze Jr. pose in casual clothing as they hold onto each other and look nothing but happy. “OK day two of the #loveyourspousechallenge, so here’s a pic of marriage day two,” she wrote, indicating that the image is from their second day as husband and wife.
And on Monday she shared a hilarious photo of the pair from her 30th birthday party to mark Day 3:
