India’s Most Populous State UP Will Ban Plastic Use From 15 July, Hope People Take It Seriously

Use of plastic has long been condemned by state and environmental authorities due to its ill-effects and non-decomposable nature. Devendra Fadnavis’s government had announced a plastic ban in the state from June 23. It imposed a penalty of Rs 5,000 for the first offence, Rs 10,000 for the second up to Rs 25,000 and three months jail term for repeated violations.

Following in their footsteps, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath announced a plastic ban in the state on Friday in Barabanki. The ban will come in effect from July 15 that will debar use of all types of plastic cups, polythene and plastic glasses as well. The CM urged the masses to cooperate with the government in its endeavour.
