Ahead of facing Dolph Ziggler at SummerSlam, Goldberg made an appearance on last night’s go-home episode of Raw.
Goldberg vs. Ziggler was made official for Sunday’s pay-per-view. A Miz TV segment with Ziggler and Shawn Michaels took place in last night’s main event segment. It was supposed to be the contract signing for The Miz vs. Ziggler at SummerSlam, but Miz informed Ziggler that he had a different opponent. Michaels said it wasn’t him, then Goldberg’s music hit.
Ziggler bailed when Goldberg got into the ring. Goldberg told Ziggler that he’s next, and the show ended with Michaels hitting Ziggler with Sweet Chin Music as he went up the ramp.
The Roman Reigns mystery attacker angle also continued last night. As Samoa Joe went to meet Reigns in the parking lot, a car nearly ran Reigns down. Joe then checked on Reigns to make sure he was okay after the hit-and-run.
Seth Rollins appeared and was beaten down by Brock Lesnar again after last week’s attack. Rollins vowed to defeat Lesnar on Sunday.
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross became the new Women’s Tag Team Champions by defeating Peyton Royce & Billie Kay, Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville, and Asuka & Kairi Sane in a fatal four-way elimination match.
Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair faced off with Natalya & Trish Stratus before SummerSlam. Kurt Angle also made an appearance last night and was attacked by The Fiend.
