Total Bellas Returns, Live Event Cancelled, Impact Back in Canada

Fans of the Total Bellas reality series on the E! network will want to tune into the network later on tonight for the season premiere of the show. Total Bellas is coming this evening with its fourth season, and it marks an interesting time in the lives of WWE Superstars Nikki and Brie Bella. Not only does it focus on their return to the ring late last year, but it is also the first season without John Cena. Of course, Cena and Nikki called off their engagement nearly a year ago. Joining the cast in Cena’s place will be John Laurinaitis’ daughter, Maya. E! has also announced that there will be a Total Bellas season two and three marathon throughout the day on the channel before the series four premiere takes place at 9pm ET.

WWE will rarely cancel their shows, but that is exactly what the company just did for one of their live events that had been scheduled for later in the month. The night after the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, WWE had been set to bring a SmackDown live event to Tuscon, Arizona, but the show has suddenly been cancelled by WWE. WWE and the Tuscon Convention Center released a statement on the matter earlier this week citing “production issues” as the reason for the show being taken off of the venue’s lineup. As of right now, no replacement date or new venue for the show has been selected. Meanwhile, Raw will still be broadcasted as usual from the Talking Stick Arena in Phoenix, Arizona that very same night.

Impact Wrestling held TV tapings in Mexico City, Mexico last night, and the promotion has already confirmed where one of their next set of tapings will be taking place. Anthem Sports & Entertainment CEO Leonard Asper revealed on Twitter that Impact will be coming back to Toronto in April. Impact had already confirmed that the promotion would be visiting WIndsor, Ontario, Canada for their television tapings in March. Interestingly, when asked about other cities that could host Impact tapings in the future, Asper teased that quite a few cities were in talks with Impact officials right now. He specifically noted that Chicago and Philadelphia are “in the conversation,” so it will be interesting to see where else Impact ends up this year.

No doubt! Starts with Return to Rebel April in Toronto…. working on Winnipeg…
