WWE Reportedly Testing for Tiered Network, Lita to Appear on Raw

WWE has constantly been flirting with the idea of introducing a new tiered option for WWE Network subscribers, but so far, the company has stuck to their $9.99 per month agreement that they have had ever since the network originally launched. However, recent rumors have been claiming that WWE is once again considering adding a new option for the network that will see subscribers receive much more content for an additional monthly charge. As reported yesterday, a survey sent out by WWE asked fans if they would be interested in seeing the tiered system introduced, so it definitely appears as though the company is serious about making the change to the WWE Network in the very near future.
It was noted that the survey sent out yesterday asked fans about the interest in watching certain WWE live events on the network. Interestingly, according to PWInsider, WWE decided to tape their most recent live event, which took place in Boston, Massachusetts over the weekend. The company reportedly did this with a much smaller production crew and with a bit more restrictions on production than fans would expect to see on a typical Raw or SmackDown broadcast. Despite this, the belief is that WWE taped the show as a test for the rumored tiering option that may be introduced within the next few months, and it was also mentioned that WWE will likely be taping their upcoming Starrcade show in November as well.
Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw will serve as the final edition of the show before WWE’s all-women’s Evolution pay-per-view takes place this Sunday night. One of the featured matches on the card will be a tag team match between Mickie James & Alexa Bliss and WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus & Lita. Stratus and Lita have been appearing on Raw rather regularly during the buildup to their match, and it appears now that Lita will be back on Raw this evening per a report from PWInsider. There is no confirmation on whether or not Stratus will be on the show as well at this time. Lita will now be joining WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels as a special guest star on Raw later on tonight on the USA Network.
