There is still no word on Matt Hardy’s future as an in-ring wrestler. Retirement is a definite possibility, but not official as it ultimately depends on how his body responds to the rest and the rehab that he has been undergoing.
At a recent house show where Matt was in action alongside Bray Wyatt, a fan at ringside begged Hardy not to retire and he replied by saying that “Unfortunately, I don’t have a choice. This was probably my last match ever” but then he went on to work the rest of the weekend live events.
WWE has already pulled him off of TV and those who observed him at recent live events indicated that his mobility appeared compromised and that he was looking like he was in pain. WWE has moved ahead by having him help with production backstage because even if he doesn’t retire, he is not expected back in action anytime soon.
