CM Punk took to his Instagram stories to share a very interesting image yesterday, revealing the booking sheet for WWE WrestleMania 30.
Of course, it was prior to this show that Punk decided to walk away from the company and quit wrestling. Beaten up and not happy with his WrestleMania spot, Punk left WWE.
He was rumored to be facing Triple H at that year’s show, although it was never made official. However, after sharing the booking sheet it was clear that this was WWE’s plan, as CM Punk vs Triple H can be seen on the paper.
Interestingly enough, it is also clear how much Punk leaving changed WWE’s plans as Daniel Bryan was down to face Sheamus, and the main event was set to just be Batista vs Randy Orton.
Daniel Bryan ended up getting to face Triple H in a fantastic opening match for the show, where his win allowed him to join the main event, making it a triple threat.
WWE also had Roman Reigns set to face Dean Ambrose for the United States Championship on the show, meaning a Shield split may have been planned at one point. The Hounds of Justice actually wrestled against Kane and the New Age Outlaws on this show.
This meant that WWE changed Kane’s plans for the show as well because, on the booking sheet shared by Punk, he was down to go one on one with Big Show.
Below is how the card was originally slated to be on the sheet:
* Batista vs. Randy Orton (c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Title (changed)
* CM Punk vs. Triple H (didn’t happen)
* The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar (happened)
* John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt (happened)
* Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus (changed)
* Big Show vs. Kane (changed)
* Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose (c) for the WWE United States Title (changed)
