Bear Grylls, of Man vs. Wild fame, has just been revealed as the star of Netflix’s next Bandersnatch-esque interactive series – You Vs. Wild – and you get to help him survive.
Netflix announced that You vs. Wild’s eight-episode first season will arrive on April 10 and will allow viewers to “make decisions to help Bear Grylls survive, thrive and complete missions in the harshest environments on Earth.”
Netflix has released a teaser of what to expect from You Vs. Wild on YouTube called Call of the Wild, and it will allow you to make decisions similar to the way you will if you choose to join Bear on his adventures this April.
You Vs. Wild is Netflix’s next high-profile interactive experience after the successful Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, which had a ton of choices and endings, one of which was so hidden that the director, David Slade, couldn’t even get to it.
Man Vs. Wild aired on Discovery Channel for seven seasons from 2006 until 2011 and Grylls then hosted Worst-Case Scenario, a show focused on urban survival techniques.
