KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Science & Arts (Okla) surpassed fellow Sooner Athletic Conference member, Oklahoma City, for the No. 1 spot in the first NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 Poll of the regular season. The Drovers (17-0) have opended the season undefeated and earned 529 points this week.
Five teams joined the Top 25 this week, including No. 13 USC Beaufort, No. 18 Lyon, No. 19 Baker, No. 20 Houston-Victoria and No. 24 Warner. Valley City (17-1) made the biggest jump in the is week’s poll, catapulting 14 spots to No. 11.
The bi-weekly poll is voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and the Association of Independent Institutions.
