I’m not sure what I just watched, but it ended with Mike Kanellis escaping from a chaotic mass of humanity, running for the hills as the brand new WWE 24/7 Champion.

Let’s back up a second.
Monday Night Raw kicked off this week with something called a “Mosh Put Mixed Tag Team Match” pitting R-Truth and Carmella against Drake Maverick and his wife Renee Michelle, who is actually a trained professional wrestler and was dressed to compete, although she never actually ended up taking any bumps.
After Truth pinned Maverick to win the match the 24/7 rule, which had been temporarily suspended, was restored and he was quickly jumped by about 20 members of the WWE roster. In the end, Kanellis escaped with the belt and in doing so won his first championship in WWE.
