The Eiffel Tower Vertical; A Unique Ascent Race In Paris

The Eiffel Tower Vertical® results are announced!

The Eiffel Tower Vertical® is an ascent race on the 279 meters (915 feet) in height of the most iconic monument of Paris. The race was organised by the Eiffel Tower Operating Company (SETE) and the EcoTrail de Paris®.

From the foot to the top of the Eiffel Tower, 128 athletes took part in this one-of-a-kind race: tower running and trail running specialists chosen by a committee of expert journalists, along with drawn anonymous runners and wildcard runners chosen by the organisation.

After climbing 1665 steps in a race that remained undecided until the last runner, it is finally Piotr Lobodzinski (7 minutes and 54 seconds) who won the race for the 3rd consecutive time ahead of Christian Riedl (8 minutes and 04 seconds) and Tomas Celko (8 minutes and 15 seconds), who complete the podium for the men.

In the women’s race, it was Suzy Walsham (9 minutes and 34 seconds) who claimed first place and beat her own record, ahead of Dominika Stelmach (10 minutes and 27 seconds) and Zuzana Krchova (11 minutes and 02 seconds) who came in third.
